German SummaryIn alten Zeiten lebte in einem geheimnisvollen Schloss eine alte Zauberin, die jedes Mädchen, welches sich einem Mann näherte in einen Vogel verwandelte. Eines Tages gerät Jorine in den Bannkreis, wird in eine Nachtigall verwandelt und in einen Käfig gesperrt. Ihr Freund Joringel träumt, daß er sie mit Hilfe einer Wunderblume befreien könne. Nach vielen Mühen und Gefahren findet er die Blume und erlöst Jorinde und die anderen verwunschenen Mädchen.

English SummaryIn ancient times there lived in a mysterious castle an old sorceress who turned every girl who approached a man into a bird. One day Jorine falls under the spell, is transformed into a nightingale and locked into a cage. Her friend Joringel dreams that he can free her with the help of a miracle flower. After much effort and danger he finds the flower and saves Jorinde and the other enchanted girls.
