English SummaryThe plot of the film takes place in the 30s of the 20th century in a provincial town in Poland. The maid, Justyna Bogutowna, is committing murder. She shoots the mayor of the city. As a careerist he decides to marry a wealthy woman "with fortune", but still has a relationship with the daughter of the cook.
