  • German SummaryGustav, Vorsitzender der LPG »Immer munter«, hat es nicht leicht. Ständig treten Probleme an ihn heran, als da sind: Der Melker ist blau, irgendjemand muß die Kühe melken. Dem Schweinemeister sind die Schweine ausgerissen, irgendjemand muß sie wieder einfangen. Auf dem Bahnhof steht ein Waggon Dünger, irgendjemand muß ihn ausladen. Der Köchin fehlt es an Heizmaterial, irgendjemand muß Holz hacken. Gustav löst die Probleme souverän, der Lehrling Heinrich Eisen, genannt der »Eiserne Heinrich«, muß immer wieder einspringen. Der Lehrling, der keine Zeit zum Lernen hat, bringt als Resultat die schlechtesten Zensuren nach Hause. Da wird es ihm zu bunt und er wandert in die Nachbar- LPG ab, denn dort lernt er mehr. Gustav fühlt sich in seiner nimmermüden Fürsorge für den Lehrling bitter enttäuscht, aber er weiß, wie man objektive Schwierigkeiten überwindet.   • English SummaryGustav, chairman of the LPG "Immer munter", has it not easy. Problems keep approaching him when there are: The milker is blue, somebody has to milk the cows. The pig master has the pigs run away, somebody has to catch them again. There's a wagon of fertilizer at the station. Somebody's got to unload it. The cook lacks fuel, somebody has to chop wood. Gustav solves the problems sovereignly, the apprentice Heinrich Eisen, called the "Iron Heinrich", has to step in again and again. The apprentice, who has no time to learn, brings home the worst grades as a result. It gets too colorful for him and he moves to the neighbor LPG, because there he learns more. Gustav feels bitterly disappointed in his tireless care for his apprentice, but he knows how to overcome objective difficulties. He's putting up a sign saying "New apprentice wanted."
