German SummaryJeden Tag treffen sich die Giraffe, der Elefant und andere Tiere an der Tränke, um ihren Durst zu löschen. Heute hat die Sonne aber alles Wasser ausgetrocknet. Der kluge Elefant weiß, daß tief in der Erde noch Wasser zu finden ist. Alle Tiere helfen mit, einen Brunnen zu bauen, nur der Hase beteiligt sich nicht. In der Nacht ist der Elefant als Wache am Brunnen zurückgeblieben. Bei ihm sucht der Hase Schutz, als er vom Leoparden verfolgt wird. Der Elefant schlägt den Räuber in die Flucht, doch dabei stürzt der Brunnen ein. Jetzt erfährt der Hase, wie wichtig es ist, sich gegenseitig zu helfen. Als die Tiere am Morgen zum Brunnen kommen, ist der Schaden behoben, alle können sich am Wasser erfreuen.

English SummaryEvery day the giraffe, elephant and other animals meet at the drinking trough to quench their thirst. But today the sun dried up all the water. The wise elephant knows that deep in the earth there is still water to be found. All animals help to build a well, only the rabbit does not participate. In the night the elephant has stayed behind as a guard at the well. With him the hare seeks shelter when he is pursued by the leopard. The elephant strikes the robber into flight, but the well collapses. Now the rabbit learns how important it is to help each other. When the animals come to the well in the morning, the damage is repaired, everyone can enjoy the water.
