English SummaryIn the autumn of 1793, Georg Forster, who lived in Paris, met his wife Therese in a lonely inn in Switzerland to discuss the divorce. Therese came with the two children and their new partner Ferdinand Huber. Physically and mentally weakened by the revolutionary struggles in France, Forster tried to persuade Therese to go to Paris with him. He's willing to accept Huber as a third party in the alliance. Therese, who lives in exile in Switzerland because of her husband's political activities, wants a divorce in order to be able to return to Germany. She also tries to get Forster to come back so that he can finally settle down. She refuses to go to Paris with him, although she still loves him. Therese knows that he would always sacrifice his private life to work for the revolution. And she knows that Huber needs her.
