Ein ernstes Problem stellt sie jedoch sogleich auf die Probe: Hans ist auf dumme Weise in Verbindung zu einem westdeutschen Agentenring geraten. Während er in Panik gerät und flüchten will, klärt Franka die Angelegenheit mit den zuständigen Behörden. Erst empfindet Hans das als Verrat, begreift aber sehr schnell, was Franka für ihn getan hat.

English SummaryThe life of the chemist Hans Schramm runs smoothly. His professional career is progressing well, and his fiancée Hannelore seems to be a guarantor for a quiet, pleasant future. There he meets Franka, the younger sister of his fiancée. The self-confident girl ties him up. He knows it's not a passing passion, it's love. He needs her, her strength, her tenderness, her critical reason. Franka also loves him, but doesn't want to hurt her sister and therefore resists a relationship. But self-denial is of no use, on a day in September spent together they confess to each other. However, a serious problem immediately puts her to the test: Hans has stupidly come into contact with a West German ring of agents. While he panics and wants to escape, Franka clarifies the matter with the responsible authorities. At first Hans perceives this as treason, but quickly understands what Franka has done for him.
