English SummaryBy chance, Lossew learns that his daughter Aurica is alive. For years he thought she was dead after the infant home she was in was bombed out on the first day of the war. Lossew's search resembles an odyssey and Aurica's life is not easy. Children's home, foster daughter in a Moldovan family where greed and piety reign, escape from this "home", love for one of her companions, escape again immediately before the wedding, when she recognizes the egoism of her beloved. But Aurica finds her way together with her young friends and her father.
